7.00pm for 7.30 dinner

We are again pleased to announce this years Gentleman’s dinner for the benefit of both members and Friends of Bromley and Beckenham Hockey Club.

The venue will be the   same with the usual three-course meal plus coffee and a couple of short informal speeches.
The price will remain as last year – namely £25.00 per head. Dress is lounge suits.

Women’s Ashes Trophy

Lydia Greenway, Laura Marsh and Tash Farrant will be bringing the recently won Women’s Ashes Trophy to Hayes on Thursday, September 19th at 6pm.

So come along to The New Inn (opposite Hayes Station) on Thursday 19th from 6pm till 8pm to say to the winning Hayes players – and see the Ashes!

1st XI end season with loss

Beckenham 1st XI had their winning run ended as they visited Blackheath for their final League match on Saturday. read Peter Wiseman’s report HERE. Also a big thank you to Peter for all his excellent reports this season.

2nd XI win title

Congratulations to the 2nd XI who after their win away at Linden Park on Saturday became Champions of the Kent Cricket League Division 1, 2nd XI and gain promotion to the Premier Division 2nd XI in 2014.

1st XI win thriller

In a tense and exciting match, Beckenham 1st XI beat Bromley at Foxgrove by one wicket on Saturday. Read Peter Wiseman’s full report HERE.

Hockey Open Day and Alex Bezant Memorial Match

On Saturday 31 August BromBecks Hockey Club held a very successful open day to raise money for Harris HospisCare in memory of Alex Bezant, who passed away in July. The   all-day event featured an Under 14s junior coaching session, pre-season trials for both the Men’s and Ladies sections, a memorial mixed hockey match   for Alex and an evening BBQ at the clubhouse. The day raised £650 for the charity.

Four Brombecks players   have recently represented England Masters in the Home Nations and European   Cup Competitions.

Ali Fox played in Ladies   England O45′s
Chris Rule in Men’s England O55′s
George Johnson England O60′s
Barry Mills England O65′s

All four sides won their   Home Countries Tournaments. The Men’s England O55 and O60 sides won Gold at   the Europeans and the Ladies O45 and Men’s O65 sides won silver.

Beckenham delay Hartley title celebrations
